Programs at Blue Rill Day Camp, Airmont, New York Our fabulous Freshmen campers, Pre-K 3 & 4 year olds and campers entering kindergarten, enjoy all aspects of Blue Rill. Freshmen have their own large pool for swim, perfectly sized from 2 feet to 3 ½ feet deep – making learning to swim comfortable and fun. Freshmen love to play basketball, tennis, soccer and t-ball on junior courts and fields. Gymnastics is a favorite, along with specialties such as cooking, nature and science. Crafts projects are specially designed for the younger campers and the fun never ends at our creative play areas. Best of all, Freshmen campers are supervised by adult group counselors and Division Leaders, carefully chosen for their love and understanding of young children, who keep safety a top priority. Freshmen may choose from two terrific programs; a full day (9am – 4pm) or a mini-day (9am – 2 pm) for campers who live in Rockland County, NY and most parts of Bergen County, NJ.

We take our programs up a notch for our fifth and sixth graders, who are ready for more intense programs as Seniors. Seniors challenge themselves at our rocks and ropes course. They immerse themselves in more intricate crafts, including jewelry making, mosaics or leather, and challenge themselves playing basketball, soccer, softball, hockey, tennis or volleyball on our larger fields and courts. These older campers are encouraged to select the activities they truly enjoy during the morning and afternoon weekly club choices, a great benefit to help them discover their passions and talents. Added to our comprehensive schedules are optional day trips for fifth graders and optional day and overnight trips for sixth graders – a special addition Senior campers always look forward to! Blue Rill Day Camp Programs -> Counselor in Training Leadershiop Program

Tenth graders are eligible to interview for spots in our Counselor in Training Program. It's a great way for teens to move from "camper" to "leader" status at a camp where we care as much about our staff members as we care about our campers. CITs develop leadership and interpersonal skills as they learn the importance of being a positive influence in the development of children. Will they become future Blue Rill Staff members? We hope so. Our CIT program is the first place we look!
